Idol Judges Use Their Save

The American Idol judges only had one save this season and they used it last night. With Anoop, Lil, and Matt in the bottom three, Simon said he was only willing to save one of them.
When Matt ended up being the one who would go home the judges quickly deliberated while the crowd cheered on Matt’s performance.
Matt was given a second chance!
“Matt, how many times have you been in the bottom three?” Simon asked as the studio audience took to their feet with shouts of “Save! Save! Save!”
“Twice,” Matt mouthed.
“Can I be honest with you?” Simon asked. “I didn’t think you were as good as you were last night. I don’t see that you have really any chance of winning the competition.”
“It’s good news,” said Simon Cowell.
It was emotional to watch! But Simon quickly killed the moment by reminding contestants that next week two people are going home.
That’s Simon for you! With his negative comments he gets people voting though! I truly think that is his purpose on the show.
Simon is blunt and bitter, but he is usually right. He gets people hyped up.
