Obama’s Grandmother Has Passed Away

I send my condolences to Barack and his family after hearing the news that his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, passed away after a battle with cancer today. As recently reported, Barack took a few days off of his campaign last month to spend time with his ill grandmother who he admired deeply.

Obama’s family issued this statement:

“She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances. She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left this world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring. Our debt to her is beyond measure.”

This happens just one day before the election comes to an end.
