Paula Abdul Wont Be Returning To Idol

Paula confirmed on Tuesday night that she would not be returning to judge another season of American Idol.
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol,” she Twittered. “I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon.”
“What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me,” she added. “I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

Ryan Seacrest Signed On To Host 3 More Years Of Idol

Ryan Seacrest will be signing a new deal with the American Idol’s co-producer 19 Entertainment that will ensure we see Seacrest hosting Idol for three more years. And he is about to embark on a new business venture that may see them work together.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the contract makes Seacrest one of TV’s highest-paid reality show hosts by increasing his $5 million-a-season salary he now earns, which works out to approximately $100,000-an-episode. Additionally, he’ll have expanded freedom to develop series with 19.
Idol Judges Use Their Save

The American Idol judges only had one save this season and they used it last night. With Anoop, Lil, and Matt in the bottom three, Simon said he was only willing to save one of them.
When Matt ended up being the one who would go home the judges quickly deliberated while the crowd cheered on Matt’s performance.
Matt was given a second chance!
“Matt, how many times have you been in the bottom three?” Simon asked as the studio audience took to their feet with shouts of “Save! Save! Save!”
“Twice,” Matt mouthed.
“Can I be honest with you?” Simon asked. “I didn’t think you were as good as you were last night. I don’t see that you have really any chance of winning the competition.”
“It’s good news,” said Simon Cowell.
It was emotional to watch! But Simon quickly killed the moment by reminding contestants that next week two people are going home.
