According to the Washington Times, Federal agents have broken up a white supremacist plot by two neo-Nazis to assassinate presidential candidate Barack Obama and to shoot or decapitate 102 black people in Tennessee.

In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school in a murder spree that was to begin in Tennessee. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.

Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of ATF’s Nashville field office, said the two men planned to shoot 88 black people and decapitate another 14. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

The men also sought to go on a national killing spree, with Obama as its final target, Cavanaugh told The Associated Press.

“They said that would be their last, final act _ that they would attempt to kill Sen. Obama,” Cavanaugh said. “They didn’t believe they would be able to do it, but that they would get killed trying.”

An Obama spokeswoman traveling with the senator in Pennsylvania had no immediate comment.

HORRIBLE! This is unacceptable in today’s world. What are you accomplishing by killing another race? Nothing!

Apparently Obama might make an appearance on SNL before the end of the election. After Sarah Palin’s so-so performance last Saturday I am diiiieing to see Obama show her how it is done.

I heard from one of Sarah’s aides this morning that at the obligatory SNL after party, a slightly affected Seth Meyers blurted out something to the effect of “…yeah, but just wait til you see what we have cooked up for Obama’s appearance right before the election.” You may remember that Obama “canceled” his appearance on the show on opening night because of Hurricane Ike. But sources now say that it could have been a ploy cooked up by Lorne Michaels and David Axelrod to save Obama for the November 1st show… right before the election.

Obama has always spoken about his biggest regret, not visiting her mother before she passed from cancer. This time he won’t let that happen again. His grandmother, who he says influences him the most, has fallen ill. and Obama has canceled his campaign for a few days to fly to Hawaii and be by her side.

Obama writes a letter to the readers of VIBE:

“We are at a defining moment in our history. I am running for president to take this country in a new direction. But I can’t do it alone. I need you,” the letter reads. “Whether it’s the first time, or the first time in a long time, I need you to register and vote on November 4.”
