These pictures confirm that Snow will be playing Lily van der Woodsen (Rhodes before her marriages) in the spin-off of Gossip Girl.

The prequel will debut during the season’s second last episode of Gossip Girl, May 11 on The CW.

Brittany Snow has landed the role of Lily van der Woodsen on the Gossip Girl spin-off.

A ‘friend’ says, “Brittany is thrilled. She loves the original show and thinks the 1980’s concept sets the spin-off apart from other series on television. She can’t wait to wear all the fabulous outfits and really sink her teeth into the role.”

Hmm… not too sure about this choice… Brittany better do a good job!

No Doubt will be performing on the March 11th episode of Gossip Girl. They will perform Stand and Deilver for their first time ever.

Before the band makes another record together, they have decided to do a tour and get to know what their fans are interested in hearing first. I like the idea!

Yay, I am soooo excited. The creators of Gossip Girl have been denying a spin-off for a long time now and finally they are confirming it is gonna happen.

Written by Gossip creators/executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the spin-off begins when Lily moves to the San Fernando Valley with her outcast sister following an argument with her parents. Departing from a world of luxury to the valley that Lily once made fun of, she goes over the hill into Hollywood, where we’re sure she gets into a bunch of trouble and scandalous situations. Also, how she meets Rufus and eventually gets pregnant.

Not based on the Gossip Girl books or their own spin-off series, Schwartz and Savage selected their characters, timeframe, and location because “We didn’t want to upset the chemistry of our cast — all of whom are crucial to the show. Nor did we want to dilute New York City as a character.”

How great does that show sound??? I wonder who is in line to play Rufus and Lily… they better be hot!!! Can’t wait! I will keep you posted with all the developments.

Taylor Momsen, of Gossip Girl, was rushed to the hospital when what she thought was a sore throat turned into something much worse.

Her doctor talked to UsWeekly (strange choice!) about his patient’s prognosis.

Dr. Shawn Nasseri said, “I have been treating Miss Taylor Momsen for the last few days. She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday. She has been an excellent patient, and after aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days.“

Hope everything turns out alright for her. Gossip Girl wouldnt be the same without her!!!
