This is breaking news, apparently Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together… WOW!

PEOPLE Mag reports:

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the “Umbrella” singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes.

Adds the source: “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. “He called to wish her happy birthday,” a source told the magazine. “They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.”

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

I personally think this is a terrible idea!

Really? When someone throws a phone at you, your self-defense instincts is to punch them, bite them and threaten to kill them? Hmmm… I don’t think that really makes much sense. But, that is what Chris Brown is apparently going to plea, self-defense.

“Chris is already building his case. He’s saying she threw a phone at him, then hit him in the head and basically just lost it. He’s saying she attacked him.” according to a Life & Style Weekly.

Funny that he walked away with no bruises but she walked away looking half dead… tell this is not right!

TMZ has posted this photo showing Rihanna’s injuries after Chris Brown assaulted her the night before the Grammys.

The photo was taken by police when she submitted her report.

The is devastating and makes the who situation more real. We only heard about what allegedly happened but now we are seeing it.

I hope we have seen the last of Chris Brown, because anyone who could do this to someone should be in jail.

Chris Brown apologizes for attacking Rihanna in a statement released today. Here is what he had to say:

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

• Perez Hilton is reporting that Chris Brown is hiding out in Vegas with friends instead of being home with his family.
• Rihanna’s friends say this is not the first time he has hit her.
• The District Attorney’s office in L.A. has moved back the case for further investigation because their evidence is “thin”.
• The fight started when Chris Brown received a text message from another woman (sources say this woman is a well-known Canadian songstress) asking to meet up later. Rihanna became upset which led to them argue.
• Rihanna faked a call during the fight saying to the “person” on the other end “he is dropping me off, make sure the cops are there.” This enraged Brown making him say “You are really f*cked up now, I am going to kill you.” Which is the basis of the criminal threats charge.
• Pictures that have surfaced on the internet of Rihanna’s injuries are fake. The police have not released them.
