Rumours have been circulating since Kristin Cavallari was spotted at Heidi and Spencer’s wedding, that she would be replacing Lauren Conrad on the next season of The Hills. Well, it has been confirmed that she is indeed starring in the show.

“It’s a TV show. I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work!” Kristen tells press. “And drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in, because I know what works.”

Can the show be any more fake? They need to “bring in” people to “create” drama.

“The goal for me is to get my fans excited about me again. When I first started out, I had a celebrity name but I didn’t have the acting skills I have now…I’m a completely different person than Lauren. I have a lot more energy. I’m more outgoing. I’m a little more spontaneous. And she has a boyfriend so she’s not dating on the show. I’m very open to dating and finding a guy.”

Basically she wants to be famous and will do anything to attain it.

In a recent interview with Extra, Lauren Conrad admitted she is ready to leave The Hills for good.

“It’s coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I’m ready to kind of walk away,” she tells Extra. ”I’ve been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time.”

Audrina Partridge appeared on Ellen today where she spoke about he drama between her and Lauren Conrad. She talked about how she thinks Lauren and her on and off boyfriend Justin Bobby have flirted in the past. When she called Lauren, Lauren hung up on her! She also confirms that it was Spencer who leaked all this information to Perez Hilton… not surprised…
