Ummm… If I had a heart attack just BEFORE my plastic surgery… i wouldn’t get plastic surgery! I would take that as a sign. But, that was not the case for Tameka Foster, Usher’s wife, who still went through with her “simple liposuction”.

Foster, 37, checked into the Sao Rafael Hospital on Feb. 6 for a “simple liposuction,” says Ellen Dastry, spokeswoman for plastic surgeon Silvio Sterman.

Foster went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized, “but was revived in less than a minute by heart massage,” Dastry adds.

She was then placed into an induced coma before being transferred into an intensive care unit “to avoid unnecessary complications.”

She’s currently recovering in Sao Paulo’s better-equipped Sirio-Libanes Hospital, added Dastry, who did not release any additional details.

Usher cancelled all his Grammy weekend appearances because of a family illness, now we now why. Let’s hope she recovers well.

Usher unexpectedly canceled a pre-grammy performance and Clive Davis’ party last night saying that there was a “serious illness in the family.” Reps for Usher are not commenting on the sad news. A source close to his wife, Tameka Foster, denies rumours that Tameka died following plastic surgery… But, Access Hollywood is reporting that she did suffer some complications after going to Brazil for cosmetic sugery. Let us hope everything is okay with Usher’s family.

Usher and his wife Tameka welcomed a new baby boy to the world! This is their second son together. Tameka has three children from her previous marriage.
